FAQs:

Know Before You Go

What should I wear?

This depends on you! We always recommend at least shorts and a tank top if you plan on getting on the pole, but the more you pole the less you wear to stick to the pole better!

*Bikinis are the standard for most intermediate and above pole dancers.

How do I sign up for classes, workshops, or memberships?

Use any Book Now button on this site, download our Haus of Pole app, or go to the classes tab to book there!

What shouldn't I wear?

Jewelry, lotion, or oil. All three of this items are a safety risk and can seriously injure you and others in the studio. Lotions and oils should not be applied at least 6 hours before coming to the studio.

Can I wear heels?

Absolutely! In fact we encourage all dancers to wear heels, if thats what is comfortable for you! We really love to honor our Sex Worker roots by doing it the way most of us had to do it, in 8 inch stilettos.

Just make sure you are wearing the correct kind of heels, stripper heels are the only heels allowed in the studio, no street heels. We do this to cut down on injuries and to keep the studio floors clean and protected.

I dont own stripper heels, where can I buy some?

We exclusively sell Pleaser brand stripper heels at the studio with a discounted price for our members.

We also have rental 7" clear heels that we rent out to any one who forgets their heels, doesn't have heels, or simply just wants to try them out. Our rental heels are $3 per class.

If you want to find stripper heels locally we also recommend sex shops like Hustler, The Edge, or Romantix.

It's my first time what classes should I take?

If you are looking to get into pole tricks, we suggest starting with Intro Fundamentals. If you want to try out choreography, we suggest starting with Melted, Signature Erotic, or X (1). If you're looking to just stretch and get into shape Deep Stretch Adult PBT, Intro to Ballet, and Conditioned are open to all levels.

I'm a first time attendee- what should I do when I come into class?

Firstly, welcome to your first class! We are excited to have you! If it's you're first time,

Don't come in too early or too late, 5-10 minutes before class starts is perfect!

Please take your shoes off at the door and put your shoes on the provided shoe rack.

Go ahead and place your belongings in the cubbies for safe placement.

When the instructor is ready to take you, go ahead and grab a yoga mat and any other workout items they require and meet them on the dance floor

Lastly, HAVE FUN!

Do I need to sign up beforehand or can I just show up?

I don't have any dance background. Can I still come? Will I be able to keep up?

Yes! Absolutely! Just make sure you're picking a class that fits your needs and you should have no issues keeping up!

We all have to start somewhere, so why not start here?

Im not very "strong" - will class be too hard for me?

No! We all start our journeys somewhere. Like all sports you will work your way up gaining strength along the way! Typically most people start in Intro pole classes and gain the strength they need in their own time to move up.

What if I don't know how to be "sexy", or am uncomfortable with being "sexy"- can I still benefit from learning pole?

Absolutely! There are plenty of classes offered that don't deal with the sexier side of pole. if you are uncomfortable with being sexy and would like to avoid these types of classes, please reach out and we will direct you to classes that don't take part in the sexier side of pole.

How old do I have to be to take classes at Haus of Pole?

You must be 18 or older to take classes at this studio.

Will there be men in my classes?

There might be! We are a studio who prides ourselves on being an equal opportunity studio and we encourage anyone to be a part of our studio.

If you have any concerns about being in a co-ed class, please speak with an instructor or text/email us before a course begins. We want everyone to feel safe at our studio and will do our best to accomodate you.

What is the class size?

We want to make sure that everyone gets an appropriate amount of pole time for the class they are paying for, this includes a proper amount of instructor attention for your safety.

Intro and beginner classes including a pole will have a max limit of 10 people, this is intended to give people rest breaks between tricks and make friends or share time with friends. All of these tricks are grounded and pose very little safety risk.

Classes with no pole will have a max limit of 12-20 people depending on the type of class.

Intermediate through pro classes and all choreography classes will have a limit of 6-8 people so everyone gets an appropriate amount of pole time and for proper safety standards to apply to all individuals taking and teaching the class.

Where can I park?

Our studio has tons of ample parking! We have 5 spots directly in front of the studio, there is a parking lot to the left of the studio on Reno, there is street parking across the street and a whole parking lot to the right of the studio on 2nd and Klein. All of the parking in the area is free!

What kind of training or experience will instructors have to teach classes?

All of our instructors have been selected on their talent, background, and training. Most of our instructors have several certifications and years experience teaching at other studios.

To ensure you are getting the highest level of experienced instructors in the area, our studio also has ongoing in-house training, as well as, studio wide specialized trainings and certifications. That way our instructors are getting the best, and most up to date, information on safety and training, and you are getting the safest and most up to date training as a student.

I bought a class package- does it expire?

No! Class packages do not ever expire (unless the studio closes down or some other extenuating circumstance). Here at Haus of Pole we believe that your credits shouldn't expire just because you couldn't make it to class.

How do memberships work?

Becoming a member is easy! Please check out our Become a Member page under the Classes tab to find all of our information on memberships!
